Harvest Moon Quilt Pattern

Harvest Moon is an intricate 104" x 104" heirloom‑scale quilt pattern centered around a radiant 32‑diamond star. Each diamond is paper pieced in sections and then joined with curved seams, creating smooth transitions and a luminous, faceted effect. The design continues outward with paper‑pieced set‑in triangles and squares, all assembled using Y‑seams for crisp geometry and a sculptural finish. The surrounding borders extend the paper‑piecing theme, giving the quilt a cohesive, richly layered presence. Harvest Moon may also be completed as a twelve‑month Block of the Month project. The sample quilt was made using Island Batik’s Flutter Fields fabric line, adding vibrant color and depth to the design.
