About This Pattern
Falling Leaves is an intricate 104 x 104 inch heirloom quilt featuring a radiant central star made from 32 diamond shaped blocks. Every unit in the quilt is fully paper pieced, including the curved diamond sections, the set in triangles and squares, and the surrounding borders. The curved seams and Y seams create graceful movement and sculptural detail throughout the design. Falling Leaves can also be made as a twelve month Block of the Month project. The sample quilt is shown in Island Batik’s Butterfly Haven fabric line. The digital pattern is formatted entirely on 11 x 17 inch pages, which are required for printing both the instructions and the full foundation set.
